Nokia 2: Leaked Press Renders and Expected Launch Date
HMD Global is expanding its variety of Android smartphones in the market. The company released four smartphones this year, starting with the Nokia 6 in January, followed by the Nokia 5, 3, and the flagship Nokia 8.
And now, HMD seems to be making preparations to launch a new entry-level smartphone, which will be called Nokia 2. This is going to be the cheapest of all Nokia smartphones.
Leaked renders of the Nokia 2 have appeared, showing both the front and back side of the phone. According to the leaked images shared by Evan Blass, the phone is going to be offered in two colors, black and white. The rest of the design is typical of what you should expect from a budget smartphone.
The placement of both the rear and front cameras and the side buttons (volume, power) is quite similar to the Nokia 3. One of the differences is that instead of the physical navigation buttons, the Nokia 2 might come with these buttons rendered on the display. Despite the absence of the navigation buttons, the big bezel is still there at the bottom.
If you take a closer look at the leaked renders, you can clearly see the date, October 5, which could possibly be the Nokia 2’s launch date. However, these are just assumptions so don’t take it for granted. We have to wait for the official announcement by HMD Global.
The Nokia 2 is reported to come with a massive 4,000 mAh battery, bigger than all four previous models. As for other specs, it is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, 1GB RAM, and a 5-inch HD display.
